Open role: Controls Technician

 

General Purpose of the Job

This position involves electrical equipment, electronic repair and troubleshooting

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist; maintain all aspects of electrical control systems, robotic equipment, and machinery.
  • Responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software.
  • Installation for new systems and equipment.
  • Design and implementation of electronic and PLC based controlled systems.
  • HMI programming using FactoryTalk View Studio, PannelBuilder, etc.
  • Intermediate level experience with ABB, Fanuc and other robotics systems.
  • Allen-Bradley PLC-5, RSLogix 500, 5000 and related systems.
  • AC and DC Variable Frequency Drives
  • Experience with robotic assembly and automated material conveyance
  • Review initial electrical schematics and update electrical schematics for as-built changes.
  • Complies with requirements as outlined in the company handbook.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Practices good housekeeping.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.
  • Practices and obeys the environmental, health and safety rules of the company.

Education and/or Experience

Associates degree or higher.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an automated manufacturing environment.

Strong analytical skills

Proof of intermediate level PLC and Robotic Training Courses.
