Senior Warehouse Inventory Technician

POSITION:                             SENIOR WAREHOUSE INVENTORY TECHNICIAN                 

DEPARTMENT:                      MANAGEMENT

 

Essential Functions:

The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Leads and coordinates daily work activities of co-workers: confers with supervisor to obtain direction regarding work assignments and priorities; organizes tasks in order to complete assigned work; monitors status of work in progress and inspects completed work; confers with co-workers; assists with complex/problem situations; and provides technical expertise.

Assists with instructing co-workers regarding operational procedures and proper use of equipment.

Leads and participates in pulling materials and supplies for all departments; tracks the movement of raw materials; issues materials for projects; ensures materials are charged to correct work orders and/or cost centers; utilizes mobile and inventory tracking software; troubleshoots software and hardware problems as needed. 

Leads and participates in receiving shipped materials: inspects and verifies quantity and quality of received orders; signs for deliveries; unloads trucks; labels products; stores items in proper location; reconciles orders with purchase orders in computer systems; replenishes stock and rotates inventory; and assists CCWA personnel with shipping needs. 

Leads and participates in maintaining accuracy of inventory; conducts physical counts; enters data into computer systems; and assists with reconciling missing materials.

Leads and participates in cleaning, organizing, and maintaining the warehouse; organizes and shelves materials; sweeps the warehouse, etc.

Performs related duties; assists with obtaining quotes for parts and supplies; enters purchase orders for materials in the warehouse; assists with daily fuel transactions as needed; assists with coordinating the salvage of scrap materials; coordinates pick-up and delivery of parts, materials and supplies, etc.

Processes a variety of documentation associated with department/division operations, within designated timeframes and per established procedures.

Operates a personal computer to enter, retrieve, review or modify data, utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database, Internet, e-mail, or other software; and operates general office or other equipment as necessary to complete essential functions.

Operates or uses various equipment, power tools, hand tools, and supplies in order to complete work assignments; operates and maintains trucks, forklift, cut-off saws, hand-held scanning equipment, ladder, and other tools and equipment.

Communicates with supervisor, other CCWA employees, vendors, the public, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems.

Additional Functions:

Performs duties of Warehouse/Inventory Supervisor in absence of the same.

Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; supplemented by two years of experience in warehouse operations and inventory management; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license and forklift certification.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities: Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performance of the essential functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all CCWA or departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary to function effectively in the position.

 

PAYGRADE:                         15H (starts at $20.387/hour)
