Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join our team. This role will be the key partner of US Operations and Sales for all financial and administrative matters, including but not limited to budgeting, profitability optimization and current financial/administrative processes and controls.  The mission of the Finance Manager is to guide all USA branch Managers and USA regional leadership in making sound business decisions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor day-to-day financial operations within US branches including activities, such as:

       - Supporting branches with reconciliation of Cash Sales Accounts

       - Reviewing Inventory Cycle count adjustments + DN’s for posting

       - Supporting branches with daily reconciliation of Outstanding (Direct Ship)-PO’s

       - Ensuring branches follow inventory cut off procedure and month end cut off procedure

       - Reviewing requests for slow moving and damaged inventory write-offs

        - Reviewing cash refund check requests prior to submission to Home Office

  • Track the US Branches financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
  • Research and analyze financial reports and market trends
  • Provide insightful information and expectations to US Branches Managers and US Regional leadership to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
  • Review financial data and feed the Balance Scorecards and KPIs to be implemented
  • Work in collaboration with the US Business Excellence Lead and Corporate team over ERP improvement and optimization
  • Deploy and monitor adherence to our financial policies
  • Spread a culture of sound financial and administrative management within the US Operations by providing coaching, mentoring, and training to employees on all levels
  • Work closely with the Business Excellence Lead on translating operational performance into financial performance.
  • Support the Head of General Accounting and Consolidation during month-end close
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Vendor rebate reconciliations
  • Support the Head of General Accounting and Consolidation during year-end close
  • Support the FP&A Director with the preparation of Branch budgets

 

Qualifications

  • 5 years experience in the Distribution industry with a general understanding of sales, marketing, operations, finance, and customer service
  • Advanced degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field (Accounting designation preferred)
  • 3 – 7 years experience in a finance role
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Thorough understanding of business principles and practices
  • Superior attention to detail
