We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our Maryvale office. In this role, you will deliver preventative dental hygiene services, educate patients on oral health, and support the dental team in providing excellent patient care. You will work under supervision of licensed dentists, performing the full scope of dental hygiene services permitted by Arizona law and you will ensure compliance with Arizona state licensing requirements and maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities

Provide clinical preventive services: prophylaxis (cleanings), scaling, root planing, subgingival curettage, periodontal maintenance

Perform dental hygiene assessments and develop patient-specific treatment plans (in coordination with supervising dentist)

Take, process, and interpret dental radiographs (x-rays)

Apply preventive/therapeutic agents (fluoride, sealants, antimicrobial rinses) within scope of practice

Record and maintain accurate clinical notes, charts, treatment histories, and patient progress

Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, disease prevention, diet, tobacco cessation, and overall dental health

Assist in patient screening, medical history reviews, and risk assessments

Maintain infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols (OSHA, CDC, state rules)

Collaborate with the team and refer patients for further care as needed
Skills & Qualifications

Current Licensed Dental Hygienist in Arizona

Current CPR (Healthcare Provider) certification

Strong clinical skills in periodontal therapy, radiology, patient education

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to comfort patients, especially anxious ones

Detail orientation and commitment to documentation, infection control, and quality standards

Flexibility, reliability, and a collaborative team spirit

Experience in a fast-paced dental practice or community clinic

Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred
